• App Functionality: Storing journal entries, to-dos, chat sessions, and media files securely to provide app services. Running AI functionalities (e.g., chat responses, summaries) within a secure cloud environment.
• Analytics and Improvements: Using anonymized app usage data to improve app performance, usability, and features.
• Fraud Prevention: Analyzing device and network data to detect and prevent fraudulent activities.
• Customer Support: Resolving issues and responding to user inquiries.
• Legal Obligations: Complying with laws, regulations, or valid requests from authorities.
• Account Maintenance: Inactive Accounts: Accounts inactive for more than 3 months may be deleted permanently. Platform Use: We reserve the right to remove users from the platform at our discretion for violating terms or policies.

4. Sharing Your Data

• Cloud Hosting (AWS): All data is stored securely on AWS servers under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) that ensures GDPR compliance.
• Service Providers: We may use third-party libraries or services for analytics, functionality enhancements, or debugging. These providers are obligated to protect your data and use it only for authorized purposes.

We do not sell or share your data for marketing purposes.

5. How We Store and Protect Your Data

5.1 Data Storage

All personal data, including journal entries, to-dos, chat sessions, media files, and location information, is stored securely in a GDPR-compliant AWS cloud environment located in the European Union (or an approved region).

5.2 Security Measures

• Data is encrypted at rest and in transit using AWS built in best practices encryptions.
• Access to sensitive data is restricted to authorized personnel only and monitored via AWS access logs.

5.3 Data Retention

• Journal Entries, To-Dos, Chats, Media Files and other content you create: Retained until you delete them or request account deletion.
• Account Information: Retained as long as your account is active.
• Anonymized Analytics: Retained indefinitely for app improvement purposes.
• Inactive Accounts: Accounts inactive for more than 3 months may be deleted permanently.

6. Your GDPR Rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of your data.
• Rectification: Correct inaccuracies.
• Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Delete your data or account.
• Restrict Processing: Limit how your data is processed.
• Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection: Object to data processing for specific purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

MeetYu does not address individuals under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.

Parents or guardians may contact us for assistance in managing or deleting this data.

8. Data Breach Management

• Detection: AWS monitoring tools (e.g., CloudTrail, GuardDuty) detect suspicious activity.
• Containment: Affected systems are isolated to prevent further breaches.
• Notification: Notify affected users within 72 hours and report breaches to the relevant Data Protection Authority (DPA).
• Resolution: Investigate and fix the breach's root cause.

9. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in laws or services. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notifications.

We also reserve the right to:

• Remove users from the platform at our discretion for violations of terms or policies.
• Delete accounts inactive for more than 3 months.
